Mamazina Magazine features writing by moms on the many faces of motherhood. Please review our mission statement and read the work on our site to get a feel for what we are looking for before submitting.

For all essay and poetry submissions -- we read submissions in January and July. All submissions carry a $10 reading fee, payable by using the PayPal transaction at the bottom of this page. Please read our letter explaining the new submission procedure here. Thank you!

Remuneration
Mamazina Magazine is not a paying market at this time. However, if your work is accepted for our print magazine, you will receive one complimentary copy of the issue that your work appears in and shipping cost for each contributor is $5.00. Each additional copy is $5.00.
Poetry
We are looking for poems extraordinary for their originality, craftsmanship, and vision. Poems of any length and form are welcomed. Please send your submission within the text of an e-mail. Send submissions to: poetry@mamazina.com and complete the PayPal transaction at the bottom of this page.
Creative Nonfiction Feature Essays
We look for personal essays/short stories, journal entries, and memoir excerpts by moms that read like fiction.
What we are looking for:
Submissions should be 600 - 2,000 words. Please send a query along with the complete piece. Send only submissions within the text of an e-mail to: editor@mamazina.com and complete the PayPal transaction at the bottom of this page.
Visual Art
We are looking for artwork in the form of photographs, sketches and graphic art to feature within our pages. We are interested in artwork that conveys a unique perspective on motherhood. Keep in mind that Mamazina Magazine is a black and white publication so please do not send works that are in color. Images should be sent as an attached .jpg and should be 300dpi. Blog Guidelines
Mamazina blogs unite women’s voices. We choose our bloggers based on their writing skills and ability to connect to important and compelling issues, emotions and perspectives as well as their story-telling abilities. In such a populated blogosphere, we hope to inspire and educate women from all walks of life, with a special emphasis on (m)others.
Our posts should be evocative, intelligent, humorous, (but not necessarily all of these at once) and most importantly, unifying and inspiring.
Please follow these general rules when posting for Mamazina.
No profanity.
No pictures containing full nudity or overt sexual innuendo.
Mamazina is not a political or religious platform. We do not endorse one particular point of view. We do, however, recognize the importance of each writer’s point of view. We respect those points of view and will make every attempt to showcase different points of view with complimentary and diverse opinions.
**PLEASE DO NOT use this platform to harm, prejudice or injure when it comes to religion, creed, race, gender, ethnicity, political views, or sexual preference. Your personal blog is your expression and we ask that you make a special point of not condemning others while best expressing your opinions.
Please post prior to 5:00 p.m. EST on your scheduled day. You can post ahead of time while composing your blog, and schedule your post for a certain day. If you have a conflict with your scheduled day, please contact the Managing Editor.
